I’m not championing any holidays Chicken Regulate Your shirt . I don’t even celebrate Christmas, I’m Jewish! I don’t like New Years either. I don’t celebrate it! I’m telling you that Valentine’s Day is annoying because the entire holiday is about, “look at me, I have someone and you don’t. Haha!” That’s why I don’t like Valentine’s Day and other days like it, people going on and on about how much money was spent on them or how much they spent on their SO, I’m all for showing your love to someone with extravagant shows and presents. Just don’t sit there talking about it like you were the only one who it happens to. That’s where most of these special days are annoying, people making big scenes to others to make their self-feel special. God, people who shit on valentine’s day because they’re single and bitter are insufferable. I’m single and bitter, but it isn’t like Valentine’s day was invented as a personal attack on my single-ness.

I hate your holiday, but I also hate all of them, so there’s nothing specific about my feeling toward them. However, I’d never tell another person what they should think about it all. If you like it, then enjoy! I won’t necessarily join in—and maybe I will—but all the more power to you, babe. Also, fuck the justification. You don’t need that for enjoying things. “Why do you enjoy x?” is an empty question. You just do. I get if you hate all equally or don’t have a preference. I don’t even mind if you hate the day. I hate Christmas. It two months worth of stress followed by a lot of food I don’t really enjoy. Also as mentioned, I had a really traumatic experience at Christmas. Just don’t take away my love of it. But I genuinely always struggle on Valentines. No less then 45-50% of that day is spent defending V-day, so I’ve heard it all. I do just enjoy it. And I get why everybody else enjoys their days. Cause, you said it. It’s empty to ask why anyone enjoys anything. They just do.
