Some folk get really irritated by someone who can find the common ground when they want an argument. And then we elected President Obama and it got real ugly. There was no more common ground to be found. I was out to destroy my country I loved, along with the rest of the Democrats. Nothing I said could reach through the hate.Once Donald Trump came on the political scene I had to unfriend most of my coworkers here on Facebook to avoid all the vicious attacks they sent me about being a liberal. I have had to fight not dropping down to their level. I’m no longer sure we can heal our nation when the other side has given up recognizing common facts, reality or humanity of those who don’t bow down and worship at the Trump altar.

If you’re trying to change her mind, you are wasting your time. If you are recognizing her humanity, you simply say ‘thank you’. You don’t need to engage at that point, she’s made it clear what she thinks will help you. You don’t agree and that’s perfectly fine. It’s really no skin off your nose to be kind and recognize that she truly believes she’s giving wisdom.They can give you information, try to help, or they’ll just not like you because of your beliefs; but no one can make you believe anything. What you’re actuallsaying is that you can’t handle people speaking about things you don’t agree with. I’m atheist and i find it uncomfortable to talk about christianity, but it doesn’t mean they’re trying to force me to believe anything. People can say and believe whatever they want, and you’re allowed too change your beliefs when new information is presented. Too many people are set to not change no matter what(which is what makes humans humans) and that’s hurting the country the most.
